The 2015 Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exhibition’s Career Fair starts Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Cajundome Arena with seminars scheduled throughout the day.
Among a host of employment sessions this week are those designed to help applicants build ré sumés, get interviews and stay motivated during the job search.
There also is a workshop geared to military veterans seeking employment.
LAGCOE Executive Director Angela Cring said there will be far fewer employers looking for workers this year than in 2013. She said there were up to 30 employers looking for workers two years ago. This year, she said, eight companies have signed up.
