Energy Squiggle Contest
LAGCOE is joining forces with Acadiana artist, Aileen Bennet, to bring you the Energy Squiggle Contest. In March, Aileen created The Squiggle Contest to help parents engage children at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The theme for the squiggle is energy, but all submissions are welcome
  • The winner will be selected from participants age 13 and under
  • The winner will receive a $25 gift card to Big Boy Toys and Hobbies, a local Lafayette business
  • The deadline to submit your squiggle is December 18 by emailling Fumy@lagcoe.com
  • All submissions will be highlighted on LAGCOE’s website and social media

Transform LAGCOE Update
LAGCOE's latest endeavor, dubbed "Transform LAGCOE," is in the final stages of planning with the goal of pivoting the organization's events and programs to better serve the changing landscape of the Louisiana and global energy sectors.
The process conculded with the second Design Lab, facilitated by Maritz Global Events, which featured industry experts and LAGCOE stakeholders to brainstorm and exchange ideas for the future of LAGCOE.

During the final Design Lab, Olivier Biodefense provided 2 Synexis Biodefense Microbial Reduction Systems in order for the labs to be conducted in person for a comfortable and more engaging experience.
These units have been proven to significantly reduce the spread of infectious disease and other unwanted air born particles in close quarters.
2021 Energy Leadership Program
The Young Professionals of LAGCOE (YPL), is excited to announce the 2021 Energy Leadership Program is scheduled for each Thursday morning in the month of March.

This is an intensive series of five sessions designed to inform, educate, and increase networking of emerging and experienced energy leaders of the Acadiana region.
YPL Membership Drive
The Young Professionals of LAGCOE (YPL) Membership Drive for the 2021 year will begin in January, 2021. This committee is open to all ages and professionals in any field related to the energy industry. It functions as an ambassador to the LAGCOE Education Fund and promotes networking, career development, and community involvement among energy professionals. Annual membership dues for professionals is $25, and $15 for university students.
