Description
Lagcoe, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the energy industry, is seeking a Grant Coordinator to secure funding essential for our mission. This role will be pivotal in supporting our vision to create a dynamic, sustainable community of energy companies and volunteers. The Grant Coordinator will identify and manage grants to promote energy education at all levels, connect businesses with opportunities, and showcase Gulf Coast innovations globally. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities
Work assigned to this position includes, but is not limited to, researching funding opportunities, assisting Executive Director with evaluations of various funding sources, coordinating with federal and state agencies, completing required forms and applications, regulatory and funding source reporting, and other technical task assignments.
Specific Duties
- Present proposals to Executive Director for final approval prior to submission
- Prepare project information forms, applications, and other documents to obtain project funding
- Research and stay current with available funding opportunities
- Communicate internally to Executive Director on new funding sources and updates to existing sources
- Advise Executive Director regarding funding options, availability, and requirements
- Assist with grant/loan administration, including outlay reports, reimbursement requests, etc.
- Advise Executive Director on funding requirements in bidding and contract documents.
- Assist with funding procurement forms including regular compliance and closeout documents
- Understand applicability of all federal/state and work with Executive Director to ensure compliance
- Verify contractor compliance with funding requirements
Education
- High School Diploma (Associates Degree preferred)
- 3+ years of related experience
- Computer skills and experience in but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Experience with educational grant assistance in STEM
