Lagcoe's Future Energy Professionals (FEP) Program was established to inspire and support the next generation of energy professionals by encouraging students to pursue STEM-related degrees and careers that power our world.
The program is made possible through the generous support of sponsors and the Lagcoe Education Fund, a fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana.
Through the FEP Program, Louisiana high school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to explore the energy industry firsthand by participating in FEP Tours and approved Manufacturing Week Tours. These experiences take students inside energy-related companies, where they can engage with industry professionals, explore innovative technologies, and discover the diverse career opportunities available in the energy sector.
Lagcoe's Future Energy Professionals Tours take place throughout November and December, offering students valuable exposure to Louisiana's energy industry.
Participation in an approved tour is required to qualify to apply for an FEP scholarship. Students must register in advance and attend the tour to fulfill this requirement.
Each year, Lagcoe awards four FEP scholarships to eligible students pursuing STEM-related fields of study:
Two scholarships for students attending four-year universities.
Two scholarships for students attending technical schools or community colleges.
Scholarship applications are currently open through January 31, 2027. Students who participate in an eligible tour will receive additional information about the scholarship application process.
Advance registration is mandatory for all FEP Tours. Space may be limited.
