R.D. Cloninger became the first chairman of Lagcoe in 1954 and held the title for four years before he was succeeded by Geroge Petrie. Cloninger set the pace for Lagcoe exhibition event that Lagcoe is known for.  He worked in several volunteering committees in enhancing the vision that Lagcoe has for energy. His tremendous contributions are what Lagcoe enjoys to this day.
