R. D “Dobbin” Cloninger was a member of the first established Lagcoe board of directors in the late 1950s. Cloninger actively served in the board and as the chairman of Lagcoe from 1954-1957. He was succeeded by George Petri. He was an independent drilling contractor that provided several services to other oil and gas companies. Cloninger expertise and contribution in oil and gas earned him the Lagcoe Looey title in 1965.
