William E “Bill” Leece of Lafayette was the 1971 Lagcoe Looey. He was the founder and president of the Comet Drilling and Co. Leece through his company provided services to the oil industry. He was also part of board of directors in Lagcoe. He served as both member of the board and the executive committee during his lifetime.
