I.D “Cotton” Ellis was part of the board of directors of Lagcoe from 1969-1983. He was also the South Louisiana Contractors. Ellis also served in full capacity as part of Lagcoe executive committee and other several committees of Lagcoe exhibitions. He was actively involved in oil and gas until his demise in 1987. He earned the Lagcoe Looey’s title in 1983.
