Lagcoe Kicked Off Little Energizers Program at Mire Elementary

LAFAYETTE, LA – (May 16, 2023) On Monday, May 15, 2023, the Professionals of Lagcoe partnered with Mire Elementary School to deliver the Lagcoe Little Energizers Program, a community outreach program which provides a unique educational experience for the students.

The program, aimed at introducing elementary-aged children to the energy industry, and careers in STEM by providing an interactive workshop where students can build a STEM activity which teaches them about energy transformation. "The Lagcoe Little Energizers program is an incredible opportunity for students to learn about the energy industry and the impact it has on our community," said Clayton Williamson, Chair for the Professionals of Lagcoe, "The hands-on activities allow students to engage in a fun and interactive way while also learning about important concepts in science and engineering."

Lagcoe Little Energizers is dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation. The program's goal is to provide students with a better understanding of the energy industry and how it plays a critical role in their daily lives. The program also aims to encourage students to pursue careers in STEM.

"We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Mire Elementary School and introduce students to the exciting world of energy," said Fumy Rita, Executive Director of Lagcoe. "We hope that the students were able to take away valuable knowledge and inspiration to pursue careers in STEM."
