Lagcoe Recognizes Exceptional Recipients of the 2023 Future Energy Professionals Scholarships
LAFAYETTE, LA (June 15, 2023) - Lagcoe is delighted to announce the recipients of the Lagcoe Future Energy Professionals (FEP) Scholarships for the year 2023. These outstanding individuals, who participated in the Energy Fest - the Lagcoe Expo, have been awarded this honor in recognition of their exemplary achievements and dedication to pursuing careers in STEM-related fields.
The recipients of the 2023 Lagcoe Future Energy Professionals Scholarships are:
Caroline Credeur:
Grade: 11th grade at Lafayette Christian Academy.
Future Plans: Interested in pursuing a career in the medical field at UL Lafayette, LSU, or LSU Eunice.
Interests: Hobbies include hunting, fishing, and volleyball.
Evan Leaber:
Grade: 12th grade at Saint Paul's School.
Future Plans: Incoming freshman at Louisiana Tech University, intending to study electrical engineering.
Interests: Enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, and working on cars.
Jacobus Lasater:
Grade: 11th grade at Lafayette Christian Academy.
Future Plans: Plans to study Mechanical or Civil Engineering at UL Lafayette after high school.
Interests: Enjoys coaching soccer, volunteering with the BETA club, and being a part of the Knights Robotics.
These remarkable students have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, a genuine passion for STEM disciplines, and a commitment to personal growth and development. Lagcoe recognizes their potential to make significant contributions to the energy industry and beyond.
The Lagcoe Future Energy Professionals Scholarships are awarded every other year to junior and senior high school students who have attended the Energy Fest - the Lagcoe Expo. The scholarships, housed at the Community Foundation of Acadiana, aim to support and encourage students interested in pursuing careers in STEM-centric fields.
