Representative Jean-Paul Coussan is a Republican politician who has since 2016 represent a District 45 in the Louisiana House of Representatives. He is chairman of the Natural Resource and Environment Committee and serves on the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay House Select Leadership Committee, Acadiana Delegation, Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation and Rural Caucus. Jean-Paul currently lives and works in Lafayette. He is a partner and real estate attorney of the law firm of Andrus Boudreaux Complete Title and cofounder of Cougar Construction, LLC, a real estate investment company. Growing up, he attended Prairie Elementary, Our Lady of Fatima, and Saint Thomas More High School. He received both his Undergraduate and Juris Doctorate from LSU. Jean-Paul is married to his wife, Jennifer, and have three beautiful children: George, Claire and Caroline. As a civic and business leader in Lafayette, he is focused on family, community and fostering an environment where local business, industry and culture can thrive.
